Sweet, Sweet Singing (w/ “Shosholoza”)

SAB w/ piano and soloist

A favorite with singers and audiences, “Sweet, Sweet Singing” was inspired by Lee’s work with Thula Sizwe: the Group Zulu from South Africa. Written as a response to the well-known South African working song, “Shosholoza”, this original folksong has a timelessness in its sound and a refrain that seems to resnonate with all who hear it.

Lee is currently working on a realized piano part, but the vocal parts are currently available for any ensemble with a pianist comfortable working from a lead sheet. If you’d like to perform this piece with your choir, send us a note, and we will work to get you the score ASAP.
